Wow, after a hectic weekend containing a 12 hour workday, a goodbye party, driving a couple of hundred k’s, reversing round tight corners with a hanger, cleaning for hours and carrying all the shit we had in our home.. Damn, you only notice how much crap you own when you move.

BalkongWell we’re not unpacked yet but we are atleast in Sweden now and can start working on Trusty soon. The view from the balcony is quite ok, soon we might tie up Trusty at the dock for a night or two but that is miles away right now with all the things that we need to do before even going that short of a distance. Expect more updates now as we start moving in a higher pace towards the ocean.

A thousand things..

.. to do before we can leave Norway, or at least that is how one is feeling right now. Got to work the last weeks before moving down to Stenungsund and then a couple of hectic weeks before moving into Trusty with all that comes with that.

hardtopA couple of weeks ago we lifted the doghouse to get it reinforced and better fitted and did some plumbing work. While I’m not personally with Trusty right now my dad (the owner) is doing things all the time. I’m just doing boring stuff like shopping sat-phones, electronic charts, vacuum-packers and such and it feels weird knowing that in less than two months we’re heading for Scotland.

In the coming weeks we’ll be packing up our home in Jessheim and becoming nomads for a whole year, witch is wonderful but in a way scary as shit. Luckily I’ve done the trip before but not as the skipper of Trusty, quite mixed feelings but still I’m confident that we are ready for what this year have to offer.

The updates will be more frequent as we move down and start doing some real work, not just feeding hungry norwegians.

Up and running!

Now the page is up, just need to fill it with smart and thoughtful text..

Well this is going to be all about spending a year on a small boat, the ups, downs and what ever happens. So what it is all about then? Well we’re cruising to the Caribbean with an old double-ender and this is where our family and friends can follow us while we struggle with what umbrella drink we’re going to sip of today 😉

Before takeoff we’ll be slow on the updating but as soon as we leave the valley in Norway it will be more interesting things happening…

This is the first version on how we'll sail..

This is the first version on how we’ll sail..

We’ll see how close to that the actual plot will be. 🙂
